The ARTFL Project currently provides two fields through which to search the 1848 database. One can search by title or call number. The search will provide a list of works which correspond to those search critieria. Choosing one of the objects listed in the search results will bring up the page image.
Searching Tips
When searching for a title, a word fragment is sufficient to pull up all titles with that fragment in the title. For example, "republic" will pull up all titles with "republic" but also all titles with "republicain". In order to search for just the specific word and not the word as a fragment put a space after the word; e.g. "republic " will not bring up titles with "republicain".
